Membership Supports the Competitive Ecosystem
UPF membership supports more than administration. Membership revenue helps sustain player identity, ratings, rankings, Tour infrastructure, technology, sanctioning services and championship opportunity.
Federation-Added Money
UPF can allocate a portion of membership and sanctioning revenue to added-money events, Cups and season-ending championships. The federation publishes the added amount and payout treatment for each event before entries are accepted.
Tour Contributions
Designated sanctioned events can include a clearly disclosed per-entry or per-player Tour contribution. Those contributions are recorded against the applicable Tour or championship program and remain separate from the local event’s ordinary prize accounting.
Local Prize Pool Plus Larger Opportunity
An event can combine player entry money into its local purse while a separate UPF contribution supports the larger Tour or final championship. This allows local promoters to host meaningful events while collectively building a season-ending opportunity that may exceed what any single venue or league could create alone.
Higher Levels, Greater Opportunity
UPF’s competitive model allows higher classifications and major championships to carry progressively larger federation additions and earning opportunities. Every level can have meaningful competition, but advancement creates access to a larger stage rather than simply a more difficult handicap.
Sponsorship
Sponsor contributions can be added to membership-supported and Tour-supported championship funding. Sponsorship does not alter rating, classification or qualification standards; it expands the resources available to the event.
Transparent Accounting
UPF event records distinguish entry fees, event prize funds, Tour contributions, sponsor additions, UPF-added money and championship bonuses. Competitive rating and eligibility remain independent from the financial ledger.
Published Commitments
When UPF advertises a specific added amount, championship bonus or Tour contribution, the event terms identify how that money is calculated and distributed. The goal is to make the economic side of sanctioned competition as auditable as the competitive side.
