Competition Data & Integrity

UPF treats competitive data as part of the sport itself: player identity, scoresheets, results, ratings, points and corrections are preserved in a traceable federation record.

One Competition Ledger

Sanctioned league and tournament results feed the UPF Competition Ledger. The ledger connects the event, players or teams, discipline, race, game results, final result, sanction status, rating status and Tour status in one source record.

One Result, Many Uses

A finalized scoresheet can update match history, rating observations, standings, achievements, Tour Points and qualification. UPF avoids separately re-entering the same result into disconnected systems whenever the underlying competition record can serve all of them.

Source Matters

Every competitive observation identifies where it came from. UPL, participating independent leagues, Event Commander tournaments and approved imported results retain their source identity so federation records remain explainable.

Corrections Are Amendments

Finalized results are not silently rewritten. When a correction is required, UPF preserves the original record, the amendment, the reason, the approving authority and the downstream recalculations affected by the change.

Versioned Rules

Rating algorithms, race tables, classification boundaries and Tour Point schedules are versioned. A historical result can therefore be understood under the rules that applied when it was played rather than today’s configuration being projected backward without explanation.

External Evidence Stays Identified

FargoRate, APA, Digital Pool and other outside evidence can support player placement and review, but external evidence remains labeled by source, date and verification status. It is not represented as native UPF competition.

Review Without Presumption

Data anomalies and unusual performance can trigger review, but a flag is not itself a finding of misconduct. UPF separates automated detection from administrative judgment and preserves the evidence used in any classification or integrity decision.

Privacy and Competitive Purpose

UPF stores competitive information needed to identify players, administer sanctioned competition, support ratings and preserve history. Personal information that is not necessary for those purposes is not part of the public competitive record.

UPF standard: Every important number should be traceable to the competition and evidence behind it.
