UPF competition is being developed around broadly recognized, world-standardized playing rules. The federation’s official playing rules and competition regulations are maintained separately from its charter and bylaws so they can remain clear, current and discipline-specific.

Competition Regulations
Event- and league-specific administration may supplement the underlying game rules where necessary for handicapping, races, scoring, team composition, timeouts, qualification, advancement and other published competition procedures.
Integrity Standards
UPF members, officials, operators and sanctioned organizations are expected to support honest and fair competition. Eligibility, identity, reporting and rating integrity are federation-level responsibilities wherever UPF recognition or advancement is involved.
