UPF-sanctioned events connect local tournament operation to federation player identity, ratings, Tour standings and championship opportunity.
1. Define the Event
Choose the discipline, date, venue, bracket format, field size, race structure, entry fee, class eligibility, rated status, Tour status, seeding method and payout structure.
2. Apply the Sanctioning Standard
The event identifies which UPF standards apply before registration opens. Class-locked, Open, Combined, team and doubles formats can all be sanctioned when their eligibility and competitive rules are published clearly.
3. Register Players Through UPF
Existing members are selected from the federation player database. New players receive provisional profiles and complete the evidence/classification process required for entry.
4. Validate Eligibility
The system checks membership, class, qualification and event-specific restrictions. Directors do not need to guess whether a player belongs in a class field.
5. Run the Tournament
Event Commander supports seeding, bracket operation, match queues, digital scoresheets, live results and final placements. Finalized results feed the UPF Competition Ledger.
6. Award Tour Credit
Designated Tour events award points from the published point schedule. Final standings can later determine championship qualification and seeding.
7. Close the Event
Closeout preserves results, placements, rating observations, points, payouts, Tour contributions and any amendments in one auditable event record.
